Reima is the number one kidswear brand from Finland, known for designing functional and durable apparel that lets children play, learn, and explore the outdoors in all conditions. Behind this promise is a global business with long planning cycles, complex production networks, and omnichannel retail operations that span multiple continents. To support this complexity, Reima has relied on Fellowmind as a long-term digital partner for more than 15 years.

A partnership built over time and tested under pressure

The collaboration began well before 2010 with a Navision ERP project and gradually expanded into analytics, consulting, and cloud services. Over the years, the partnership has grown to include Qlik solutions, Azure governance and security, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, modern analytics with Fabric and Power BI, and most recently Tagetik for financial performance management.

We have continued the partnership for almost 20 years due to the tangible business value delivered, combined with strong expertise and the ability to support us through multiple stages of our development—from ERP to advanced analytics and financial performance management.

The partnership became especially important during a time of significant change for Reima. As the business environment changed dramatically and the Russian market closed, Reima was simultaneously in the middle of a major ERP renewal project. Fellowmind stepped in on short notice to lead the transition from Navision to MS Dynamics 365 Business Central supporting the organization through a complex but carefully managed change. The successful rollout stabilized Reima’s core operations at a critical moment and created a foundation for long-term development rather than short-term recovery.

One ERP backbone for a global, omnichannel business with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Today, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central forms the operational backbone of Reima’s business across markets such as Northern Europe, the USA, and China. The solution supports retail, wholesale, and e-commerce operations and is tightly integrated with Shopify. Business Central has been tailored to the needs of the textile and fashion industry, combining standard ERP capabilities with industry-specific functionality that supports apparel lifecycles, warehouse operations, and complex organizational structures.

Together, these capabilities enable high-volume, high-velocity fulfillment across markets while maintaining transparency and control over a complex, global supply chain.

Development is continuous and collaborative. Reima and Fellowmind work in regular development cycles, jointly prioritizing improvements and ensuring that the platform evolves in line with business needs while everyday support runs seamlessly in the background.

Transparency in a long and complex supply chain

Reima’s supply chain planning starts up to two years ahead. Materials must be secured early, collections planned long before launch, and production aligned across a global network of partners. This makes transparency, predictability, and coordination critical success factors.

Together, Reima and Fellowmind are now focusing strongly on making this long and complex production chain more transparent. The aim is to ensure that products are in the right place at the right time, while improving visibility across sourcing, production, and logistics. Analytics plays a central role in this journey. Reima has already moved from QlikView to Qlik Sense and is preparing the next step with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, while an ongoing Tagetik project strengthens financial planning, consolidation, and performance management. Looking ahead, Power Platform–based solutions such as supplier collaboration tools and portals are planned to further improve cooperation across the value chain.

Azure governance and security as a managed foundation

With a small and focused internal IT team, Reima relies on Fellowmind to take responsibility for Azure governance and security. Fellowmind manages one of its largest Azure environments for Reima and has implemented several Microsoft security programs to ensure reliability, compliance, and scalability. This allows Reima’s teams to focus on developing the business, trusting that the cloud environment is designed and operated according to best practices and evolves continuously with Microsoft’s platform.

Tangible business impact

The long-term collaboration has delivered clear business value. Business Central has enabled significant improvements in operational efficiency, while tailored processes have strengthened supply chain execution and internal trade flows. Better data availability and modern analytics have improved decision-making across operations and finance. Just as importantly, the partnership has increased Reima’s resilience, proven during periods of exceptional disruption.

Today, Reima has a scalable digital foundation that supports future innovation, particularly in analytics, AI, and supply chain optimization, while remaining closely aligned with the company’s values and long-term strategy.

Reima’s strategy is based on profitable growth. Having correct data for decision-making and an underlying engine in terms of a well-functioning ERP system to drive efficiency has been instrumental in implementing our strategy. Being able to create the right product collection for the right consumer groups is based on advanced data and supports our continued growth.

Working as one team

Reima and Fellowmind work in close, open collaboration with tight communication and shared responsibility. Over the years, more than 140 Fellowmind consultants have contributed to the partnership, reflecting both its scale and continuity. Long before the term became popular, the collaboration already followed the principles of a connected company: shared goals, integrated technology, and a strong sense of being on the same side of the table.

For Reima, this has meant having a partner that does not just deliver technology but actively supports the business in navigating complexity and building a sustainable future.
