Microsoft continues to invest heavily in strengthening the management capabilities within the Power Platform. In this release not everything is an entirely new feature, but together they contribute to increasingly strong collaboration between existing components within the platform.
Top Features
1. Agentic Monitoring & Alerting to support administrators
Three new agents have been introduced to support platform administrators by continuously monitoring the environment.
The Highlights agent provides daily insights into the most important changes and key metrics for each environment.
The Insights agent continuously scans for issues related to security compliance.
The Action Plan agent assists by proposing and executing improvement actions.
In addition, administrators can now define alert rules, similar to the alerting functionality already available in Azure.
2. Improved Git integration for deployment
Git integration is not new, but it has been significantly enhanced. Previously, solutions could already be exported to Git using YAML. It is now also possible to convert YAML files back into a solution. This opens up new deployment options for enterprise users.
Furthermore, working with Git is becoming more accessible for super users and administrators through the introduction of Git Pipelines.
3. Enhanced control over data security
The Power Platform now offers improved support for service endpoints within a virtual network. This allows environments to remain securely isolated, while still enabling safe connections to the outside world where necessary.
It has also become easier to configure Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies for Copilots.
4. Visibility of data labelling
Information about data sensitivity stored in Microsoft Purview is now also displayed in Power Platform connectors and in the locations where these connectors are used within the Power Platform. This information is also shown in Copilot Studio.
As a result, makers can work with sensitive data in a more conscious and careful manner.
What’s in it for you?
Administrators
- Agents continuously monitor the environment, reducing the need for manual oversight by administrators.
- The Action Plan agent helps by proposing and executing improvements.
- New deployment options through converting YAML files into solutions and using Git Pipelines.
- Strong access security for environments, while still allowing secure external connections where required.
- Simpler data security policies for Copilots.
Makers
- Data sensitivity labels are now visible within the Power Platform, including in connectors and Copilot Studio.
- This enables more conscious and careful handling of sensitive data.
Why act now?
With the rapid development of AI and the increasing number of data sources being used, having a strong data security policy is more important than ever. The risk of data being misused or even exposed outside the organization is greater than it has ever been.
Now is the right time to design and implement these policies, so that tomorrow you can fully benefit from the many agents that are being introduced.
